Learning Coaches

Learning Coaches provide support for students utilizing virtual classes through the South Carolina public school system which already include complete coursework, teacher instruction, and lesson planning. 


Learning coaches assist students in completing their work, provide additional activities and manage the daily schedule, and help students with focused attention on specific areas they need support in.

Houseparent Basic Information

The Basics


As a House Parent, you will manage the children in your house, and will be part of a team like-minded couples on our campus. House parents help establish and maintain a steady daily routine for the children that you are responsible for, including: waking up, breakfast, transportation to school or appointments, daily chores and daily leisure activities and exercise, study time, personal hygiene, devotions and bedtime. 


You will keep medical files and related reports for children, and also manage school and extracurricular special activities. You will maintain inspection-ready upkeep of the cottage facility and vehicle, with safety as your top priority. 


Staff participates in regular, ongoing training, and you will model and teach daily living skills to children under your care.

Qualifications


24 years of age or older


High School diploma or higher


Valid Driver’s License


Ability to work collaboratively as a member of Boys Farm to provide for the needs of children in your care


Ability to pass all background checks


Testimony of faith in Jesus Christ and an evidence of Gospel-centered life


Personal, professional, and faith based references required





Responsibilities

Provide oversight and care for children and develop and maintain family routines


Transport children to school, church and other events


Cook and prepare weekend meals 


Provide a secure, nurturing environment for children


Help children develop positive relationships with peers, adults, and those in authority


Provide appropriate guidance and structure for the children 


Guide and nurture the Christian development of children 


Teach children necessary, age-appropriate life skills

Licensed Professional Counselor

  Boys Farm is seeking a passionate Christian LPC to join us in our ministry!  Our motto is “Building boys rather than mending men” and we realize that that the Biblical support of a Licensed Professional Counselor for individual and family counseling is a powerful resource in facilitating healing, learning and growth.  Our ideal candidate is a male counselor who can communicate a shared understanding of societal expectations and pressures faced by men, and who can serve as a model for healthy male emotional development.  Internship will be considered for the right qualified candidate. 


Are you called to help children overcome past challenges and develop into strong independent adults?  We are offering the benefit of a full-time salary with a flexible 32 hour work week (10-15 clients per week), NO insurance billing, and a beautiful campus to facilitate a wide variety of activities for child counseling sessions including a future equine therapy center.   Practicing at Boys Farm could be the perfect opportunity for you to serve the LORD locally transforming lives as part of an amazing team!
